D1 : PARIS (or other countries) / ANTANANARIVO

Warm welcome with a bunch of flowers from our agents and our hostesses at the airport. Transfer and welcome cocktail to the Colonial Villa near the airport, with its ancient charm and the kindness of Mr. Edmond and his grand-son Sergio, a typical smart. Overnight and breakfast.

D2 : ANTANANARIVO / AMBATOLAMPY / ANTSIRABE

Visit to the first traditional village made up of red ground at Iharanandriana, meeting the locals. Pursuing the trip following the highway number 7. Visit to the workshop of aluminium foundry in Ambatolampy. Free lunch. City tour with one of the traditional famous means of transport, the rickshaw. The rickshawman will take you to visit all the old houses and colonial villas decorated with bougainvillea that flower almost all year. Overnight and breakfast in an inn. Free dinner.

D3 : ANTSIRABE / AMBOSITRA

After breakfast, visit to a lapidary workshop of precious and semi-precious stones, without forgetting to pass through the market of Sabotsy, very animated (if it is Saturday in Antsirabe). Going on to Ambositra, the capital of Malagasy handicraft: carved wood, baskets made from raffia, objects made from zebu horns, etc. by following the picturesque highlands with their staggered rice fields ingeniously stuck on the hillsides and their fields of vegetables. Ambositra is known by the name of « Ville des roses ». Visit to a workshop of wooden sculpture. Overnight and breakfast at a very typical hotel with his architecture original of the country. D4 : AMBOSITRA / FIANARANTSOA / AMBALAVAO

After breakfast at the hotel, leave for the village of Ambalavao via Fianarantsoa. A little city tour, then going on to the destination scattered with villages, groves and floor timber houses with their various patterns…Free lunch along the way. Visit to the Antaimoro paper factory, paper with multiple decorating uses. Overnight and breakfast at the hotel. Free dinner.

D5 : AMBALAVAO / RANOHIRA

Breakfast at the hotel. Pursuit of the trip. After 15 km, stop at the reserve of Anja: village park nested in a mass of rocks colonized by a natural forest which shelters a sociable Lemur Catta population. The visit to Anja will make discover grottos and caves used as houses by the locals in the last century, and many plants with a thousand vertues. Free lunch. Continuing the trip through diverse variations of landscapes: from a mountain range to the plateau of Ihorombe and finally to the famous ruin-shaped landscape of the Isalo national park. Accommodation and breakfast at an Isalo’s Lodge. Free dinner.

D6 : RANOHIRA / TULEAR

Visit to the national park of Isalo early in the morning. Discovery of a strange landscape of ravines and crevices, unfamiliar rock formation, caves, as well as a varied fauna and flora. Free lunch. After the visit, pursuing the trip to the South by crossing the savanna, the vegetation adapted to the long dry period alternated with silver landscapes like an endemic natural decoration.

About 100 km from Ranohira, you will see the first giant baobab. While continuing to the South, you will feel the climate change, it will get warmer and dryer, you will begin to see succulent plants. D7 : TULEAR / ANTANANARIVO (or extension to IFATY / ANAKAO)

Transfer to the airport for flight to Antananarivo/ to the port to Anakao or by car to Ifaty. Free: lunches and overnight.
